Conception
1. A couple must have two threads together as warriors in order to conceive. Each thread should have at least three posts in total.
2. Gay couples can either adopt an unwanted litter of kittens or they can ask a character of the opposite sex to be a donor/surrogate. In the case of a gay male couple, both toms in the relationship may inseminate the surrogate molly. In the case of two mollies, either one (or both) can be impregnated by the donor tom of their choice.
3. Each character may have up to two litters in total. More can be won in contests.
4. NPC litters may be won as contest prizes. These are litters in which one parent is a character that doesn't exist in the roleplay, and their appearance is made up by the roleplayer of the played parent. Outside of this, litters must be conceived by characters roleplayed by two members.
5. Litters are rolled by staff. The number of kittens, sexes of the kittens, and their appearances are determined by dice roll.
6. A molly must wait until at least one real life month before having another litter. Whether or not her previous kittens have been apprenticed is irrelevant.
Birth
1. Mollies give birth after one threads with at least four posts in it. From there, the mother's player is required to give a one-week notice prior to the birth of the kittens to allow the adopters to create their accounts and applications. Post the notice on the adoption thread so staff can help keep track of which members have created their kits.
2. Birthing threads are optional. The mother's player is free to instead PM everyone involved to let them know that the kits have been born.
Adoption
1. A member may only adopt one kitten from a litter, and after adopting that kit, they must wait for one litter to pass before adopting another. For example, if I adopted a kitten from litter A, then I would not be able to adopt from litter B. I could then adopt a kitten from litter C. There are two exceptions to this rule: 1) an Adoption Pass won from a contest that allows a member to adopt a kit outside of their wait time and 2) playing one of the kits' parents allows a member to circumvent their litter wait time to adopt a kit from their character's litter.
2. Names and personalities of kits are entirely up to their adopters. The parents' players may not influence these aspects in any way.
3. Both parents must either claim a kitten or decline taking one prior to the adoption thread being posted.
4. Adoption threads are first-come-first-serve. If two people ask for the same kit, it goes to the player whose post showed up first.
5. Litter kittens' appearances must be copy-pasted into their applications. They may not be modified in any way. If one would like to add more detail, then one may add a detailed written version below the copy-pasted information.
6. Members may only have one defective kit at a time. Polydactyl kittens are not limited in this rule because they are fairly common and are not on the same level as blind or deaf kits.
7. Once you've adopted a kitten, you have until their birth to make the account and post the application. When you've done so, please post a link to the application on the adoption thread. If you don't do this by the time the kits are born, then the kit will be re-adopted out. If you choose to give the kit back, or you do not post within the given time, then you must still wait for two litters to pass before adopting again.
