Hey everyone! I thought I'd fill the boards out a bit by starting some threads.
I'm Oakley. You can call me Oak if you'd rather. Oaks are my favorite trees and I love the feminine spin of "ley".
I'm a 19-year-old from the USA. I've been administrating forums for over five years now! I spend my time mostly playing video games and hanging out with my boyfriend.
I wanted to do something a little different (for me) by making a Warriors forum based around the Clans in the forest territories. I want this forum to grow and thrive in the crowd of Warriors roleplays out there. I can't wait to make friends and roleplay with the future members here. <3 As an admin, I stick to my rules. I'm open to criticism but I lose patience for people who feel the need to repeatedly express distaste about the same thing (especially if it's been explained why something is the way it is), and I will not tolerate passive-aggressive behavior of any kind. If you find yourself consistently bored or you strongly dislike a core aspect of the forum, such as a rule or the way something is set up, then I'd recommend finding a new forum--I want members who want to be on my forum, not members who are only here as a "last resort" or something to that effect. I try to be clear and concise about every decision I make (though I will never tell you why someone was banned, because that should always remain between the staff and the member in question). Excepting the aforementioned behaviors, I get along well with other members. Feel free to approach me with questions (asking ahead of time is always better than assuming) and suggestions.
As far as roleplaying goes, I can be admittedly a bit slow with replies from time to time. I try my best to remain consistent with responses, but it doesn't always work out. I like to play characters whose personalities are very different from mine, as exploring traits that I don't necessarily have is super fun to me! In general I like to write a variety of characters whose personalities, goals, and fears wildly vary from one another. I generally prefer shorter posts, usually 100-300 words, but if I click really well with a particular partner and our thread, then I'm open to write more.
Plot-wise, I'm open to pretty much anything. I tend to do better with faster or more short-term plots than plots that slow burn over months of play (I do love reading slow-burns though). I like having a basic structure of where the plot will go and then seeing how the characters veer off from that original idea. My plots are usually open to modifications as they're being written--I love new ideas thrown in to thicken things!
