At the moment I don't intend to keep track of Clan numbers. If there eventually becomes a problem with there being too many characters in one Clan, or there are too many youngsters, then I will deal with it.
Due to the Clans' low numbers, they are all currently accepting outsiders to join their ranks. The Clans are desperate to stay alive, even if that means taking in loners and kittypets.
If you're making an outsider joining a Clan, you have two options:
-Give them a warrior name and include their heritage and old name in their history. Regardless of when they joined the Clan, it can be assumed that they were given some training to help assimilate them into the Clan. Please keep the naming guide in mind when naming these warriors--they must still follow the pattern of an appearance-based prefix and an appropriate suffix.
-Create them as a loner or kittypet but label the application title with their Clan. Send a message to the Clan's leader. If the Clan is currently without a leader, post a thread on the plot board and ask for a warrior or apprentice to bring your character into the Clan. They will be given a warrior name by a StarClan leader and accepted into the Clan. You can then edit your character's application with their new name and these events in their history!
